2025 Oscar Nominations Are Being Unveiled

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences started to unveil nominations for the 97th Oscars on Thursday after a delay caused by the Los Angeles wildfires by naming the contenders for best supporting actor.

Kieran Culkin, fresh off winning a Golden Globe for his performance in the dramedy “A Real Pain,” received a nomination. Filling out the category were Yura Borisov (“Anora”), Guy Pearce (“The Brutalist”), Edward Norton (“A Complete Unknown”) and Jeremy Strong (“The Apprentice”).

The nominations are being announced at the academy’s Beverly Hills, Calif., headquarters in an early-morning ceremony hosted by Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott. The ceremony will be held on March 2.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates and find the list of nominees here.
